For anyone who missed out, check out the pics and results from the event but if you were there would have seen some crazy shit happening all around the track all weekend. Victor and Ben Bray know how to have a good time as they cruised and smoked their way around the track. Victor was especially wrapped when the orange and white 57 chev weaved through the traffic on the front straight to come up beside him and give him a race when no one else was game enough. That sealed the deal for the guy in the chev as he picked up Victor’s Choice Award. Tony Harrison amazed crowds with his wild 360 degree loops and mad drifting all around the track. I lost count of how many people he took for rides but I can tell you not one of them wasn’t smiling when they got out of his car. Milan Dokic….can that man party!!! I managed to show him what turbo power was all about but when it was my turn, I couldn’t get past all the spectators he had lined up to take for a ride so I’ll have to wait for Sydney in 3 weeks. Mentle by name … Mentle by nature was the call from one guy who stepped out of the beautiful black and purple camaro. Milan even scored a challenge from another big bad blown alcohol injected monster from Brisbane after the weekend so Sydney will be interesting. Steve loader even took the black blown hg for a few dozen laps and from all accounts was still sounding sweet as after a hectic weekend. All in all it was awesome to lay down the first of many Powercruise events in Tassie. Powercruise had great weather, great crowds, a great show and shine on Sunday with the Ford FPV Club doing their thing and all in all I think everyone had a great time and saw some shit they would never see anywhere else but Carline Mufflers Powercruise. I look forward to visiting the apple isle again next year and I am sure after the weekend, plenty more spectators will be driving their machines on the track for 2009 Catch Ya Cruisin….
